First impressions

First person I spoke to was in fact you SoS You sent me a PM on the night I registered and we talked about Final Fantasy, to think that was almost 3 years ago now.

Lol I dunno, I was really quiet when I first got here, didn't know what to think. Just read a few threads and posted a little and decided- whoa, it's a bit bonkers here

Then I made my intro thread and that's really how I got to know people personally (almost everyone I've ever really known here has posted in that thread ). I made friends that way, and the thread became a legend ^^

I really just came looking for cheats and tips and found fun and humor. I did'nt really see the crazyness till i read the early posts of "Vending machine." The place just sorta seduced me. I should probably look for my first post to jog my memory a bit more.

Well. When I first got here, there was a different set of people, but it was so dead...and reading the few replies I had obtained in my welcome thread, I pretty much deducted that the forum base were, to say the least, effin' morons, but decided to stay polite either way. XD

I raised my eyebrow when somebody changed the title in my introductory thread to ''Hello, my name is Terminal Est'', because it was a RULE that this was how we were to introduce ourselves and I was all like, pffft up yours.

My first impression was that if, other than misspelled spam and uncapitalized idiotic ''look at me I am so funny and cool'' unprofessional posts wherever I went were obnoxious moderators, I had thought, no wonder nobody comes here. XD

Then there was this user who inquired that I elaborate something in the debate section on the subject of religion and its attributes to the survival instinct, and once I did, they did not even follow me on it. Most likely thought that I could not, heh.

However, other than the presentation and ambiance of the forum itself, it is hard for me to make instant judging of someone online, one cannot really do this with a few posts until you get to know them more, and whatever first impression may have been is then lost, whether you like the user or not.
Be that as it may, when SoS was a moderator and he told me not to revive old threads, in my head I was like, fuck you. XD

But he knows that the word fuck between him and I has a much more pleasant meaning than this initial first impression one.

But that is all I really remember, because the place is so slow and everything is so gradual in occurrence, you just get to know people as if you were on the verge of sleep. I do not even remember what I thought of Midgar Fanatic at first and he is a pretty recent member. I remember seeing Miss Lockheart around and going, who the hell IS that? XD Other than what some users did or said to me at first, there is no real labelling that I had found to put on anyone.
That is not to escape whatever I might have to say about the people when I first saw them, mostly because I really do not remember that much.

I do remember Snaggle Tongue's Jesus avatar though, and at first I thought she was a male. XD

But then again...I'm the oldest member here. No one that comes here now was here when I first arrived.

I actually thought you all were pretty cool, all the good qualities of KH3 without the overcrowding, and with fewer (but by no means no) idiots. I still remember my first impressions of some of you. SoS and Snaggle Tongue were "oh, woah, these are moderators acting like people? I revere them!" Kain, well, the earliest time I remember encountering you was during a fight with the Xaldin fan from KH3 (I still hate that guy!), but my oipinion of you is completely differenct since I got to know you. Terminal, I have to admit, you spooked me a little (or rather, quite a lot). And Firesnake, I don't recall if you were arouind when I first joined, but the first impression of you that I recall was that you were mostly here for the forum games. Anyone who joined here since me, like Miss Lockheart, or anyone who was inactive then or now, I just assumed you were some sort of new member who would either leave, become one of the few unmemorable people around the forum (back when this place had more members), or would make a name for or reassert yourself, and I would learn who you were then.

I love this place, you all seem, as a whole, slightly less insane, and individually, well, like friends rather than names on a screen. THis plac, just... First impression was beyond correct. This place is awesome.

Edit:: Wow, it has been over 2 1/2 years...

Hmmm when I first joined it was packed with people here.
My first impression was: OMG THESE GUYS ARE IDIOTS
... I love this place :')
and thus I decided to stay
And since then this place began to empty out
... maybe it was my fault I don't know but I miss a lot of them
But my first impression was goot ^^
