Why no last names?

OK im srry this is triple postin and its off topic but i didn't know how the first two post appeared i only wanted one but when i submitted it two were posted so srry.

I see you deleted them though. That happens all the time with me. It takes awhile to load when I hit post reply and I get impatient so I keep hitting it and then like 5 posts come up lol

And I'm just as interested about the Organization members last names as I am with the main characters

Stopped using last names at least after FFVIII. Also have last names in later games, but mostly minor characters and species names (ex. Kimahri Ronso, FFX/X2).

One reason Kairi might not have had a last name is that she didn't exist for the first game except for the sole purpose of keeping the darkness sealed (What sort of name would Kairi Seventhprincesswhosealsthedarkness be?), and most of the Final Fantasy (and Disney characters that I can think of) didn't have last names, so they probably figured it wasn't worth having just a couple of people with last names.

Or they could have had an "Official Last Name Creator" who retired after FFVII, but I'm not insane enough to suggest that seriously (or am I...?)

Why would Kairi not have a last name? She is a human and she played even less of a role in KH2. I don't get what you're saying

lol...but there really is no reason to give them names...like when a villain taunts them, it cooler just saying, "Sora, sora..." then saying "Sora What-your-name..."

Yeah, I don't know what I meant either. I'd gone almost four days with only a few hours of sleep, and after a good night's sleep, the rest of what I can remember that I fortunatelydidn't type was completely random-seeming.

Edit: Donald Duck is species name, Cloud Stryfe is from FFVII.
