Good morning, Good afternoon, or Good evening my friends. Whichever introduction best suits the time of day you are reading this out there around the world. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is MidgarFanatic.

Many of you “regulars” will probably have noticed that I have already posted quite a bit on this forum but have never actually publicly introduced myself in the Welcoming thread… and for that I apologize, but I wanted to wait for the right time. So… now seems as good a time as any… Hello everyone.

I have already had the chance to talk to some pretty interesting people here and have engaged in some pretty interesting discussion about a funny little game. And that’s why I’m here. I like to talk about Final Fantasy. I think it’s cool.

Well thanks to everyone who said Hi to me on the first few days of my Introduction thread. I see many familiar faces of course.

So since this is my thread I suppose it's up to me to try and do something with it... shouldn't I? haha, so, let's have a discussion folks. I'll leave the topic open to you.

Glad to see ya getting online more often!!

I will be sure to keep the discussions here a little less silly, but really a corrupted welcome thread is not such a bad thing!!

News today, I've been working on trying to get my mum to lift the computer ban, and I think I mad some progress. Of course I had to pull the big gunns out...

So I showed her the Crisis Core stuff on YouTube and Gametrailers. She's such an FFVII nut, she likes to really delve into the story. Almost as bad as me in that respect!! Anyways we ended up watching Advent Children again, she loves that movie, and afterwards she said she had urges to play either more of FFXII, or start a new FFVII game. It's a start!!!

I really want to eventually finish the story of FFIX, and start FFVIII (Firesnake is really keen for me to play it). I think hopefully I have more of a chance! Oh, and she hinted that I might get Crisis Core for my birthday in May if it is out, because my little brother and sister are getting PSPs for Christmas so I can borrow one. SUCCESS!!!!

And you have the coolest mom in the world, lol. She sounds like as big a FFVII nut as me, haha.

Oh yeah, so since this is still my introduction thread then I guess I can say some more about myself, hehe. Okay, so I’ve played all of the Final Fantasys since they first originally came out twenty years ago, and they are pretty much the only video games I really enjoy playing. I remember many gems (esp: I, IV, VI, VIII, IX, and XII), but my favorite FF of them all has been FFVII. Overall, I think it had the most compelling and original story and game play. I’m not saying it’s the best, I’m just saying it’s my favorite.

I have been thinking about which FF I should play next, as I’ve had a bit of a break from the FF series for a while since I got a Wii earlier in the year. So lately I’ve been playing mostly Nintendo games instead of the usual PlayStation stuff.

All this news about Crisis Core lately has got me thinking about FFVII these days, but… I think I might want to give FFVIII a go again, I havn’t played that one in a while, I remember it was a good story. So if Miss Lockheart and Firesnake are thinking of playing this one, I might tag along, haha.

And Miss Lockheart, I insist, no thread would be complete without at least a little silly banter… what’s wrong with a corrupted thread? lol. :P

Oooh thankyou, I think I found it on a tribute website when I was bored, either that or Yahoo Images. It's so cute isn't it? I've seen a colour version, but this black and white drawing effect has more charm.

Yeah have another go at FFVIII, and I will try and follow suit at some point. Hahaha my mum is quite cool, but yeah a complete nut!! And I think I agree that FFVII is the best one in the series, not even FFXII once I got the hang of it came close!

And don't worry, the banter will creep in eventually....
