Site for VG Guitar Arrangements (sheet+tab+midi)
I thought I'd point all you guitarists to a site I put up a few months ago for guitar arrangements and transcriptions I do of video game music (and now non vgm music as well!). All the music is in both standard notation and tab and each have a midi to accompany them. I've got 80+ pieces up there so far and I try to do 1 or 2 a week so come back often to see what's been added.
If you're curious how this stuff sounds on guitar, here are some recordings I did:

It would've been better to introduce yourself first maybe?
This site isn't a blatant whoring place. If you're going to be here, you can't just come up and say hi, GO TO MY SITE!!

Lol, says you. This wasn't going to be my only post on these boards, but would it have been different if I had just said, "I found a link to this site for guitar music?" Just because I prefer to share something I KNOW other guitarists would appreciate first, rather than wasting time with a detailed bio doesn't make it post whoring. You obviously don't play guitar because I highly doubt you would've replied with that, so why bother checking this thread anyway?

I do actually.
I wasn't calling you post whoring, I was calling you SITE whoring. And it does seem that way.

You know what I meant. Way to split hairs.
Moving along, I don't want to argue with you. The entire reason I have that site is for the people who go to it and request arrangements. I'm interested only in sharing what I do with as many people as possible. I work hard on the stuff I have up there and with fufilling requests, but knowing people are going and playing the stuff is the entirity of it's reason for being. So, like I said, if you want to consider my post whoring because I didn't say howdy beforehand, go right ahead. Frankly, I could care less. I merely assumed that being this was a final fantasy music topic, and the lack of arranged vg music for guitar, it would be welcome and people would look beyond the fact that it's a plug for my site and more to the content of the site itself.
So take it as it is. Sure, it's a shameless plug, but at least it's a decent one.

Haha.
You just amused me, congratulations. (What I mean by that is, you do not have the status of a downright damned whoreyfier)
It's not that, like you said..Shameless whoring.
I didn't just mean intro'ing yourself first. I meant not literally posting on a site once to say "ZOMG 1IK3 VI5IT MY 5IT3 1IK3 ZOMG LOL!11111!1111!!1 K THX BY3 !!!1111!ONEONE"
It'd be better to go onto communities you are already a part of where people aren't gonna call you things.

Eloquently put. That aside, I didn't feel like waiting because, judging from the amount of action the music section of this forum gets, I didn't know if I'd be sticking around long enough to find out. So, I decide to go ahead and post in case SOME wandering soul happened upon it. Big deal. Way to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Haha. You hardly had to reply.
Actually, if there WAS much new stuff for music, it'd be put here. People generally check new topics, or new posts.
If you're not going to stick around..then why bother, hm?

I think I covered that already. I said I didn't know if I was going to be sticking around or not, I had to see if anyone showed any interest. If there was, I'd probably do what I do for other forums, being linking the newest arrangements and recordings here first. To be honest, I don't really see what your malfunction is. Like I said before, if I had posted "Hey, here are a bunch of links I found to music sites." it would've been welcomed with open arms. But because it was MY site and I'm new here, suddenly I've commited a horrible faux pas. I could see your point if I had linked a site that had nothing to do with FF music, but as it is, I'm simply sharing information that others could use. Don't you think you're being a little elitist? "You can't do that! We have rules here! Sure, it's a link that pertains to the topic, but it's advertising yourself and even though others may enjoy it YOU CAN'T POST IT YET!!! That's the rules!! Waa waaa waaa."
Anyway, these little back and forths, while giving me a chuckle, are really starting to bore me, so here's an idea. If you do play the guitar, get off your high horse, enjoy the music, and shut your hole. No one likes a whiner.

I never once mentioned rules.
It's not that others may or may not enjoy it. It's just that whoring yourself like that is bad etiquette; I'm not sure if you've ever heard of that, it's unspoken rules. Generally people know that whoring yourself like that is NOT the done thing. This is etiquette in the scale of the WHOLE INTERNET. There may be places that are meant for similar things but this is not one of them.
My malfunction is that, while a regular member who'd posted more than once or twice would be within his/her rights to do this, you, who have never been on the site before, never posted and certainly know no-one here (Minus yourself) decided to advertise yourself, where you do not know if anyone even LIKES playing guitars.
No I will not get down of my high horse because you're replying to this thread. It amuses me. If you were as unbothered as you say you are, and bored, you would NOT have replied that time to the thread. Either it still amuses you, or you're ticked off.
Besides, I'm right. I was in a bad mood before but that doesn't change the fact that -*Shocked face* - I AM right.
