Which Final Fantasy game has the best music.
I'd have to say VII, its music was awsome i loved it to bits.

I don't know, FFX had some nice tunes (nice, as in The Sending, or nice as in the Blitzball intro). VII did have One-Winged Angel, though, but that doesn't count for enough to make it my entire favourite soundtrack. And I'm discounting the fact that MIDIs suck, and judging solely on the compositional and listening qualities.
edit: I don't know because I have the volume down when I play, so that I can hardly hear the voices, if at all. No comment torwards the quality of XII's music, good or bad.

XII has beautiful full vibrant music (cuz Hitoshi Sakimoto is the BEST) but ofall the games, i think the ones that haunt and stick with me the most are the songs from VII

How come no one likes the older stuff, like FFVI, the song going on while fighting keefka is so great, I love the black mages version of it. IV had good music to, and I loved the castle theme from II.

The best music by far has to be in FFVIII , I still love it. I do like XII, but I think VIII is the best FF ever created, pity they never did a sequel or a film I say. Any music done by Nobuo Uematsu is fab. |

although I hate the game itself I must admit that final fantasy X-2 has the best game music
the only thing that kept me playing was the ingame music >.<

I like the music in IX. I did not think very much of the game itself but the music was fun to listen to.
