did it wrap it up good for you?
I know the ending of ff7 was left wide open and many aspects such as the Jenova cells remaining in people and the clones that survived etc were not fully explained, but do you feel that Advent Children wrapped up all these lose ends or not?
Is sephiroth gone for good this time? did taking that bath in the church remove the jenova cells for good? (cured cured geostigma so maybe thats what its pointing at?) - any comments?

Well, he did come back through Kadaj, not really from will, so it could be possible that he has fought his last battle.

I loved AC, but it didn't wrap things up for me at all. Sephiroth's death/dissapearance/go *poof*-ness was left open yet again, as were most of the things mentioned. I'll think there will be much more to come, which gives me a bad feeling. I pray they don't ruin it...

I dont know, I doubt theyll make any more now cause they definatly qrapped up the Cloud-guilt-over-aerith-zack thing in the film which I felt was the only major unresolved thing in the game itself, but the jenova-sephiroth thing is again speculation, so we shall see

It wrapped up pretty well, although I'm still a bit shady over where Kadaj and his gang came from still. I do hope they make another one because FF7 AC was totally badass. I think that for a sequel it would be interesting if a totally new threat arose that only Cloud would be strong enough to face. Then as this almost invincible threat travels around, Cloud's closest friends challenge it when Cloud is busy elsewhere, and are either killed or thought to be killed. Imagine if Tifa were killed, the guilt Cloud would have over not having been there for her and having failed his friends again would resurface much more powerfully and poignantly than before. It would be staggering. This brings the plot back to what is most interesting in FF7: Cloud's internal battles as a human being. We would be able to relate to him and understand as he either becomes shattered by the loss or hell-bent on revenge (which I think would be a bit out of character for Cloud, but a possibility). Aeris would be gone at this point, so there would be no reassuring spiritual guidance for Cloud. In the past, Cloud has been a true loner, but he has always had friends, or followers of a sort. While Tifa has been the only one to truly understand him for the most part, Cloud still keeps to himself and does not actively seek out his friends for internal issues that he has. An aspect of Cloud that still has not been addressed is his real lack of family, or that he has preferred to stay alone for fear of hurting those who might get too close to him. A sequel like this might present a chance for Cloud and Tifa to finally get together, or for Cloud to finally embrace his 'followers' as true friends in the scenario that Tifa was slain without hope of revival. Damn, that would be one emotional story.

Hahaha! No I'm not a script writer at all. I'm a 19 year old sophomore college student who loves the FF7 story so much that I see potential for it where others do not . And who says this would be throwing the characters away? I thought Aeris was gone after she died, but lo and behold she "comes back" in FF7 AC to help address Cloud's guilt. Sephiroth is dead after the Nibelheim incident, yet that doesn't detract from him affecting the story in the game and the movie. The FF7 universe allows for people who have died to still affect the world even if only through memories. If Tifa died I think it would be very interesting as it would allow us to see Cloud's true feelings for her, which have been buried by guilt and fear of getting his friends killed. It might truly allow him to "feel", for lack of a better word. I think it has promise, although I'm not about to type a story and then submit it to the developers for suggestion (although I admit it is tempting). After all, only the game developers know Cloud's character to the bone, so I only present a scenario.

Well, vivi, whats wrong with elaborating on a story that I, at least, found very interesting? Its not like I am on this website or thinking specifically about FF7 24/7. If it isn't interesting to you, well thats your opinion. I've seen other posts like this from you before, and it begs the question: why continually make these statements, "get over it and get on with your life"? Makes me wonder why you are at this website at all, although that may be a tad harsh. I guess what I am trying to say is, if you don't have anything constructive to add to the topic at hand then why post to begin with.
