Today I went shopping with three of my mates and we come across the only games shop in Dunfermline. Naturally we go in and have a look around. The store has had a little revamp and is quite busy.
Before it was done up it was just like all the other games shops around here, eh not very good that is. But now it has three rather large PS2 sections, One for the new releases one for like games which are still good, FF, GTA ect and the preowned games section.
After we had a look around we checked out the preowned games. We were really having a laugh at some of the awful games that people make and suddenly i spot, well you can probably guess since i posted it in this thread!
Yep a Castlevania game! I was quite excited since it was the only copy in the store and i had never seen one up close before. Unfortunately I can't actually remember which one it was, Yeah i didn't get it. As much as i wanted to £40 ( about $80) for a preowned game which could be in a bad condition put me off.
But still this gives me hope for game stores all around Scotland! Maybe RPG games will be coming to me in the future. I hope anyway. But for now I will keep looking...

Keep searching my friend; even if games are rare in your area, you NEVER know what you may find. I have made some exceptional finds in some of the places I had never expected to.
It can be discouraging, but it does pay off.
But out of curiosity...what was the cover of this Castlevania game like?
I SO want to know which one it was!

I wish i could remember and don't know why i can't remember actually.
It was for PS2 so i could have been any of these,
Although it looked like it had more in it like this,
But unless that was re-released on PS2 it couldn't have been.

There is no remake of SotN, so it cannot be the last.
The other two are great though, and despite what the main Castlevania fanbase says, Lament of Innocence really is not that bad.
Also, strange how there seems to be different covers for some of the games...My copy of SotN has a castle on it, and I have never seen the first cover for LoI. Weird how it does not even have the subtitle... O_o

I think the one i saw may have been Curse of Darkness, I'm gonna try and get it since the PS1 games will be almost impossible for me to get.
When i was looking earlier for the covers i couldn't believe the amount of differnt ones i came across.
Since I'm off school Wednesday, Thursday and Friday i might go back into Dunfermline and have another look, or possibly Kircaldy since they have 2 games shops!!!
Ah if only i was a few months older and was driving already, life would be some much easier...

But if you ever do find the PS1 copy of SotN-GET IT.
I think the covers have to do with weather 'tis a European or American version.

SOTN that was an awsome game...i only played it like twice but it was awsome...and i've got a story, My stepbro had Champions: Return to Arms...and it was alright but eventually my stepdad got pissed *he borrowed it from his son* with it cuz it wouldn't load certain areas so he ordered a new one from the company cause he could not find a copy anywhere at any store...full price like 50 bucks after shipping. Well 2 weeks later i go into gamestop and they are having a sale and wat did they have...brand new copies of RTA for 25 bucks...so yeah he was livid.
You know whats a dissappointment, Suikoden 2 as far as i know never really exhisted in anystore in maine and is never in the used bin either, so i look for it on ebay cuz ebay is awsome and i can never find one for a reasonable price...and i'm not talking unreasonable as 40 bucks no i never see this game for less than 60 with a day left on the bidding, and i've seen it go for 280 bucks before shipping. It irritates me cuz i want the game but i can't afford it.

Well Bond of Flames, my advice remains-keep searching the stores... Even the most unlikely ones...
You must be a hound! Sniff your way through the games! Wriggle yourself in between all the strategy guides and old magazines!
Claw your way behind counters in pawn shops and video stores!
Ask a million questions to the clerks! Pester them with what you seek! Show a bit of leg!
Sometimes works for me anyways.
And Suikoden II...yes, I was lucky with that one as well...only ever found one copy, used, but for a mere twenty dollars. You can imagine that I jumped upon the deal right away.
