OMG! Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is in this! :O
There is an enemy, called "Mad Butcher", wielding a chainsaw, and he even has a butcher's apron on, just like Leatherface, and the mask and everything.
The description for it is "A mad butcher wielding a mechanical saw." He growls and grunts and comes after you while swinging his chainsaw.
What the hell are chainsaws doing in the nineteenth century though?
But whatever, this game just keeps getting more awesome.

I haven't gotten very far in Order of Ecclesia yet. But I think maybe tomorrow I'll play it again because with this cold I doubt I'll be going out anywhere.

Oh yes, thank you MidgarFanatic, as I had totally forgotten to mention, and this is totally important to me...
They finally used a new artist for the character design of this game, Masaki Hirooka, famous for plenty of other work in games. While in my opinion the artwork does not top Ayami Kojima (Ditched at Curse of Darkness and Aria of Sorrow.) it still certainly does an extremely fine and commendable job of capturing the feel of Castlevania.
Much better than the standard simplistic anime artwork of Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin which was done to attract younger gamers. I am SO glad that they have gotten rid of this anime crap.
Okay no, the artwork is not bad at all, I just never thought once that it fit Castlevania at all. The artwork and character design for Ecclesia are a great step ahead, and hopefully, it will not veer again for something worse...Portrait of Ruin has to be the worse design for a Castlevania game ever, and Dawn was not much better...so now that they have remedied this, the road ahead looks bright. ^_^
See the differences below...

And, I am curious...Tidus, how far are you? ;D

I am playing this now because the football is not on TV so I have it on the radio in the background so I can cheer at my team scoring and kill monsters at the same time.

There is much to do in this game, and for completionists such as I, it is a dream come true.

I have to agree this game is very hard. I am not very far into the game but this is probably one of the hardest starts to a game I've played. Having never played a Castlevania game before I didn't know what to expect but so far I am very impressed and am liking the difficultly. The bigger the challenge the better.

I usually have the music on mute and have my on music playing through headphones while playing so I guess I cannot really judge on this.

Yeah the game does really rule so far. I wasn't sure what to expect from Castlevania but I can easily see this series becoming a favourite.

Indeed, for a start, it begins rather rough...it becomes very balanced later on, but once you get in the final dungeon, it will truly test your mettle, however I've noticed that they include some extremely unfair assortments of enemy combinations for the player to deal with...you really must learn to exploit each weakness appropriately, lest you wish to constantly return to Wygol to buy potions.
Most are usually not this hard however, not since the first titles, so while I find it it excellent, one should not judge Ecclesia's difficulty as definition for the entire series after Symphony.

This is probably my favourite part of the game so far.
I have just entered the Tymeo Mountains but have stopped there for tonight.
