Plants vs. Zombies
Has anyone else heard of this game?
If not, it's a great game. A real-time strategy game where you (the defending team) plant (and sometimes dig up) plants in a lawn to stop the invading horde of zombies.
In short, the plants shoot to the right, blow up, eat/delay, or any combination of the above to the zombies, who approach from the left. There's also sunflowers, which intermittently produce Sun (it also falls from the sky), which you collect to buy more plants to place.
Different zombies have different effects (helmets of increasing defensive capability, pole vaulting, multiple zombies walking in close formation to block one another from being hit by seed pellets), so you have to strategize more than "shoot three times before a zombie can get to your first plant".
There are also different systems of battle that you can play as minigames once you complete the round (like bowling using wall-nuts from a conveyor belt, or having to use various plants from a conveyor system instead of buying them with Sun).
It's rather fast-paced, and really fun. Quite the insane little game, fairly addictive (I ran out the one-hour demo and look forward to the time thar I may buy the full version).
If anyone else has played it, I'd love to hear your opinions on it. If not, I suggest you trey the demo (the official site is one of the first links by searching "Plants Vs Zombies" on Google).
