A little bit sad

Thankyou so much, everyone has been really supportive which is really giving me lots of strength. There are aspects of my past that I might never be able to escape- I keep contact with my ex's family so they can see Jonny, and often I have to listen to them tell me about his life since we split up, which can be hard to deal with. But then again, hearing about some of the thing's he's done since I left (last I heard he'd lost another job and was sleeping around a lot, he's just got his own place after being kicked out by his family), I feel more and more like I made the right choice. Having someone like that around is no way to raise a child, and that's even before considering the possibility of his abusing either of us.

It does get incredibly lonely sometimes- I have plenty of great people to talk to, but I'm the only person who can raise my child. It's doing two jobs in one, being the equivalent of both parents. Hehehe the other day I was complaining to myself about having to do the DIY around the house

But hard as it is, I count myself lucky to be able to do a lot of it, and knowing it will have a positive effect on Jonny. Sometimes I think he can sense how much I panic about raising him properly, and about him not having a father, but at the same time we're closer because we just have each other. Who knows, if i am stronger, then maybe it will rub off onto him. We get by, and he's sick at the moment so he's been getting extra hugs

Hugs are always good ^_^ but you're never alone if that's what you think, I'm sure you have the help and support if your family and friends. Just stay happy and think of the great boy your son will grow up to be. We're here anytime at ffnet to help you.

It's a shame nobody seems to talk so much anymore, with the forum being so quiet and all. I know how it feels better to just get my problems out in the open, and though not everyone feels comfortable with that, it can help sometimes.

yeah, it's better to get stuff out then keep it inside. If you get it out you feel better and it really really helps.
