Everyone has their own way of dealing with emotion. In reality I tend to be quite understated with my feelings, even if they are brimming inside of me, I push them down. My family think I'm really quite cold. Sympathy is a difficult one, because it's an awkward situation usually, which probably makes your body react involuntarily.
But I'm glad you express things well here, as I also do I think. Yay to the typed word!!

I also have a trouble expressing "sadness" in a classical sense, I feel it, but it just doesn't come out. I mean when my grandpa died and we watched his coffin going into the ground everyone was crying but me. I knew I should have been crying but I just didn't. I felt akwardly ashamed that I could not join in on the grief.

You shouldn't be ashamed, just because you didn't show it doesn't mean it wasn't there. And nobody should feel pressured to force it if they just can't.

same confession. I have not cried for more then 4 years. but I feel almost all the other emotions.
