Yes it is!!! I like it with Lemonade too. It's nicer than JD sometimes, and doesn't leave the ill feeling after only one glass

Another treat we sometimes have is rum and egg-nog. I don't like it, but it's popular with everyone else. Yuck.

Mulled wine is delicious, a British thing I think. You get a bottle of red wine and pour it into a saucepan to heat up, then you add some brandy, spices, citrus fruit slices and other niceties (I have a recipe of my own ) and stir until the mix is nice and warm, then serve it that way, so it's like a warm punch.

I really love your avatar by the way.
Oh...one thing about Christmas that I love...Egg nog! Weather with mind alerting substances in it or not, I drink it like a vampire does blood.
They should sell it all year 'round.

He steped on our toys when he was bringing a cake to our table.
Unfortunately I can not think about Christmas with all those exams.

In Canada, Christmas also means it's time to break out the liquor. Everyone drinks a lot of spirits (especially rum and vodka), and of course there's a lot of beer. And Canadians always drink white wine with turkey dinner, and lots of red wine afterwards. Oh, and we also use the occasion of the holidays to splurge on things which we don't normally have, like liqueurs. Some people like Kahlua but my personal favorite is Bailey's.
I think everyone drinks during the holidays because we're all getting so stressed out and many of us are depressed. LOL... isn't that a terribly un-optimistic way of looking at this fun old time of year.
Merry Christmas everyone.
|
Well, I do not drink very much, but when I do, it is not reserved for Christmas only.
But we have Christmas parties at work every year. Mine is Friday next week. And now that I have no boyfriend to bring, I will most likely drink twice as much.
But no white wine for me, only red. And Kahlua and Bailey's, very good-but nothing beats vodka for depressing Christmas intoxication.

I can drink vodka like water :P
but this is about christmas, not getting drunk. Who's got a tree up already? I haven't yet, as my family is waiting for me to get home from uni before we start hanging up the tinsel.

I put up the small tree in my living room on Dec 1st, which I usually put in the kitchen. But with the building work being seriously delayed, my house is a complete mess. But yesterday I moved the little tree into the kitchen and made some space in the living room for the big tree. Usually I wouldn't do that this early, but I'm really annoyed that my house isn't going to be finished for Christmas, so it cheered me up a little bit.
Looks like this year I'll be going back to my mum's house on Christmas Eve and staying there until Boxing Day afternoon. It sucks, but at least it'll be a happy heppy family thing, that should keep me from feeling too gutted
