I have driving license!
Well its only my provisional but it now means I can start taking lessons.
£24 for an hour lesson wtf?
"Those who pass their test have had, on average, about 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice. Learners who combine professional instruction with private practice are also more successful on test."
24 X 45 = A LOT........£1080 to be exact. Plus another £50 to buy the full license plus insurance and petrol....
I don't have a job. How the hell can I afford that?

Awwww that is complete suckishness
I can get free driving lessons with BSM because I'm on benefits (wait, that's not helpful.....) *_*
Are you sure you can't get them cheaper? My mum had lessons for £18 each before she quit, sounds more reasonable.
And go glass collecting at the local pub it's fun!!! (maketh money)

Just pay for the first few lessons, till you get the basics. Then get your parents to take you out for practice. Just make sure you don't pick up any of their bad driving habits.
Large empty parking lots and rural areas are the best places to practice. Congrats.

Are the 45 hours professional training required? Because we (in missouri) have a $% hour minimum training, but we have no driving lessons (even at high school, I don; think), so it's limited to private practice. See if it was just a "guideline" (one of those statistical things where they do some skewed tests so peoppe will pay money for classes), or if it;s actually required. I've done okjay so far on a traffic law booklet and personal training.
Anyway, congratulations! Glad ta hear oyou;ve got youyr learners permit. I'll make sure to stay off the roads (and sidewalks) wherever it is you live (j/k)

I think the plan is: If I get a job soon my dad has agreed to pay for half and I'd pay the other half but I won't be taking 45 hours worth. I'll revise hard and my dad said he'd take me to car parks and let me use his car, I just remembered he did the same with my brother.
Why does everyone keep saying they will stay away from roads from now on
