Believers?

I just wanted to know how many people here believed in any religion-any, from Catholicsm to Paganism to Bhuddism.
Or, if you're not a believer, please say why

I myself am a Catholic, only because to be honest it was how i was raised. I do belive in God, the afterlife etc. But im pretty lazy when it comes to actually going to mass or anything!! Lol What about you snaggle?

Well, sometimes I look at something and think-"How can there not be a higher power, to make something like this?"..and at other times I feel like there cannot be one at all..
It's hard to say.
In all honesty, I mock the christians and catholics alot, for many contradictions. But, I do have alot of respect for people who can believe in it. Mocking is just my way of not showing it, because the faults far outweigh the good to me. But- that is the basis for my respect.
I went to church a couple of weeks ago, oneof those 'Modern' ones where you have bands and stuff, and while I realised that I would love to be in a community where people all shared a common belief (No matter the folly of that belief), I couldn't. I can't escape all the wrong things within that belief.

I dont have a particular faith. To me religion denies self, and I'd rather enjoy my life perfecting ME than devote my time to a 50-50 hope of eternal life

Very interesting. Well i never let religion control my life, in fact most of the time it rarely enters my mind. But its always there. I believe there's gotta be something after we die. But i understand how people would thingkthere couldnt be a higher power or God when we see some of the f'd up stuff that goes on in this crazy world of ours. I mean how could God let people suffer like that???

Well, I have already shared with some on ffnet my beleifs. But I'll say it again.
I Do Belive. Not because I was brought up that way, but because I know.
Iam not a Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Seventh-Day Advintist...ect. But A higher Power?
He does exist to me. I just know.

God dosn't let, or make people suffer. This is by the hand of man. FREE WILL.
Remember? If a man chooses to let himself go, get mad,get crazy,and do something
horrid, why should that be blamed on God.....No matter what you call him. Wheather it be
Jahova, or Elshadi,...in the Koran he is named diffrently again. But what does it matter?
He dosen't cause the suffering,......he is only waiting on us to get sick of it all,eventually
everyone in their life will come to the crossing, a time when we are at our weakest,it is then
that when we are on our knees that we look up. That is when we find him. And that is
where he waits for us. Always look up!
(Sorry, this subject really hits home for me, didn't mean to get so deep)

Lisa u cant blame a hurricane or earthquake on man though. I believe he's up there and he has a plan for us all but sometimes when i read about those sort of disasters i find it hard to understand what his plan is.....
