I thought that the main down was that when they faded out you could see the 'joints' and stuff like that. It was just bleh..And that they looked so squarish, especially on VII

Yeah, I see what you mean, not so much in FF9, but in FF8 & FF7, if you got a close up of the charecter, they really looked wierd.
Keep them coming everyone, and discuss the things mentioned.

Possibly the coolest thing ever was watching the opening sequence of VII as it cuts from FMV to in game graphics. Pure class.

Also, is some areas you could get caught behind things and it wasn't really obvious what they were. And in FF7 there was a VERY limited amount of actions each character could do.

Because of it's primitive 3d, FFVII ended up looking WORSE than it's predecessor.

Yeah, in FF9 when I went behind the pillar to fight Hades, I couldnt get back out straight away.

Oh god yea that bit was annoying. Took me long enough to find him, then after finally beating the bastard you cant even get back out!!!!
