FF VII on Playstation 2 - Final Fantasy Net

Hi there, I hope someone can answer what might seem a stupid question, but it's driving me nuts.

After recently buying FF VII after 'a friend' borrowed my old copy and didn't return it, i eagerly switched on my PS2 and started playing.

The problem I have is that when I went to save my game I was told that there was no memory card inserted. However I did have both cards inserted. Is there some problem with saving FF VII on the PS2, or is just me?

ou probably had a playstation 2 memory card in it. you can't save a PS1 game to a PS2 memory card. Just stick an old PS1 memory card in and it should work.

Yea i spent about 8 hours of my day once looking for my ps1 memory card so i can re beat FF7 i tore my whole house apart but it was worth all the effort when i finally found it

^ I know how you feel, I lost my first PS1 memory card ages ago which had my best FF9 saves on it.

I lost my ps1 memory card five times..god i hate it when it happens

I never have lost mine for I keep it in my memory card slot 2 in my ps2. Good way not to lose it.

Well, me. I found it ages ago, but its case crack in half, but still work. Now, i'm playing ff7 again after watchig advent children. I wish they make a remake of ff7 for ps3 because its better than any other final fantasy. Its story, the romance between cloud, aeris and tifa,also reno and riude and sephiroth. But kingdom hearts series come first, as that where my heart belong.
