Oooh sorry can't agree about Aeris. She annoyed me to pieces! I only ever got her to do "Breath of the Earth", before she just died anyway. I know what you mean about Cid, when I use him he always becomes really powerful. And the Venus Gospel is fantastic equipped with 4xcut!!

With my current game (yeah, I'm managing to play FFVII, IX and XII all at the same time!!) I want to see how powerful I can get Death Penalty, then equip that with 4xcut aswell! Wooooh!!!

oh I'd be the first to admit that Aeris is probably the weakest character in the game to use in battle. however, I enjoy using her as much as I can during the first disk mainly for sentimental reasons. incidentally... has anybody ever managed to get her fourth lvl limit break, Great Gospel. I've never bothered because I know it's quit a long process to actually get while you still have Aeris in your party. I think the next time I play through the game I will make the effort to get this and see what it has to offer.

Oh don't worry, everyone has their own reasons for liking the characters they do. And I don't know anyone who's actually got Great Gospel, but I've seen it on the internet and it looks mind blowing! That would take you a while though! Apparently if you have an old PS and something like a Gameshark or Exploder, you can find a code that allows you to continue on with Aeris through the rest of the game, but I've never done it, my PS is not old enough and I wouldn't know where to start to find the other stuff you need!

I think it was once rumored that you could also use the GameShark/Explorer to get Sephiroth in your party as well... since you do technically have him in your party for a short flashback scene. However I think this rumor was simply that... a rumor. Probably started by the same people who said there's a way to make Aeirs come alive again in the third disk, haha.

Oh no, I've seen a video on the internet of somebody fighting Safer Sephiroth with Aeris! And they use Great Gospel too, that was how I found out about Great Gospel. It must be possible! Haha I agree that Sephiroth probably isn't possible, but oh if it was...

you can get sephiroth in your party but when you save the game and turn it off he'll disappear. The game will also crash in the end fight
