The order of my favorite characters varies, especially depending on favorite in what way, but it's usually Vincent (voted first), Cloud, Aerith, Red. I don't see why Sephiroth in the Kalm flashback isn't counted as a playable character, because he rules all...  |

Crap...I voted before I actually read the question fully... I voted for Aerith because she is my favorite character hands down. I failed to see the 'playable' character part. Well, I feel dumb... Anyway, so add another vote to Cloud and minus the Aerith one.
I liked Cloud the best because he seemed a pretty well rounded fighter as did Vincent, Red, and Tifa
