About Final Fantasy 8 Character...
The Main Character.
Name - Squall Leonheart
Squall is a poker-faced, short-spoken man who carries a unique sword known as the "Gunblade." That is, unless the subject at hand is one he's interestesd in, at which point he's known to become quite lively and outspoken. He's a bit of a loner (according to Square he has "little sense of comradship for the people around him"), and he wears a necklace that bares a strange griffon-like symbol (the same one that can be seen near the barrel on the Gunblad.

-Zell Dincht-
Another SeeD Candidate, raised in Balamb and wants to become a Member of SeeD. He is very strong and has quite a high physical defense but is not very good at using magic.
He isn't the kind of person who can stand still for long and is almost always moving around and he can be a bit load, he also has problems with keeping calm and keeping his emotions under control which gets him and some other people in trouble sometimes.
The people in his hometown seem to think of him as very load and has no self control, yet, whenever there is a mission it is always Zell that tells the group that they should not stray from what there mission is so he has some sort of control and likes to do things by the book.
This is the second character in my group that I normally have because he has a nice strength and his limit break (Duel) is very good because you can get lots of attacks in , in the 10 seconds that you get as long, as you are quick enough. but you can do a lot of damage with him overall.
-Selphie Timbit-
Another SeeD Candidate, just transferred from another garden and has done her studying elsewhere. She is the organizer of the Garden Festival and is always trying to get people involved in it. She speaks her mind and is very carefree and happy.
She is the most useless character in the game, she has the lowest stats at Level 100 of all of the character and hasn't really got anything that she is good at. The only thing that is good about her is here limit break is quite good but takes ages to get a decent magic selected, and by that time half of your team is dead. Her best limit break, "The End" , is supposed to get rid of the hardest enemy in the game , Omega Weapon, but I have never had a chance to find out since I have only just heard of this weapon (That is why I wanted to go through the game again)
-Rinoa Hartley-
Head of the Forest Owls Resistance movement in Timber, the only main character that is not a member of SeeD. She is very happy almost all of the time and is the only member of the group that Squall actually responded to when they first met, she also is very upfront about thing.
She is quite good at using magic at the start of the game and can learn a very good limit break early on (Limited Moon, makes the whole party invincible for a short period of time), but later on in the game becomes very powerful and learns an extra limit break that casts magic constantly but it is very powerful. She is the third member of my group and I give her the best magic to junction to her Magic Stat.
-Irvine Kiniss-
SeeD from another garden, a sharpshooter and a lady's man, is constantly trying to chat up Selphie and tried to chat up Rinoa until he guessed about her and Squall. Although he talks big he can't handle the pressure and buckles under it.
Better than Selphie and Quistis but is not a brilliant character to have, his weapon doesn't really do much damage and his magic stat isn't really high enough to compensate, although nearer the end of the game, if you have any "Pulse Ammo" His limit break is probably the second best damage wise, behind Squall "Lions Heart".
-Quistis Trepe-
A Member of SeeD and has qualified to be an instructor, she is Squall and Seifer's teacher. She turns out to be a failed instructor but has a group of students at the college who seems to worship her.
She has quite a high strength but is not one of the characters that I have in my group, although she does have a really good limit break, it is very hard to get because of the way that you learn them (you have to get hold of items and use them to learn new limit breaks). Her "Degenerator" attack is an instant kill on any normal baddie, which makes it very easy to go level up on one of the level 100 Baddie islands that there are.
