^_^ I'm glad you guys like the idea! The only real problem I've seen with it is that some people get pretty pissed off when they don't win something. You might end up having to deal with some major flamers afterwards. All in all though, it's damn fun. Oh, and if you want, you might give people time to campaign for different awards. Starting a thread in which people can state why they think they'd be the right person to win a certain award might be a good idea.
By the way DK, I am very honered to be your new-favorite-person-on-the-forum-girl! ^_^ If I can make everyone like me, I'll be one step closer to becoming the Supreme Ruler of the World!

I like your ideas regarding the awards thing. Once again, I'll talk to Snaggle about it. Look for it maybe as a Christmas or NewYears event. Also, we (snaggle and I) would probably like to get some more input from people regarding what we should do, how we should hold it, etc. If you would like to participate IN the event (i.e.: Being somebody who would be voted on) please send me and/or Snaggle a PM. If you have suggestions for categories please pm us with those or post them here. If you have suggestions regarding how we should go about the voting/award system please post them here.

I just read the next, unnoticed page at the bottom of the Reply to Thread screen, and it both said the different awards thread suggestion before I could and caused me to want to pluck my eyes out.

I have seen these award ceremonies on other forums, and the one thing I would like to suggest is, for the voting, obviously, it should be done through private messaging, and not polls. Otherwise some spineless worms are bound to vote for themselves, and it just ruins the whole fun.
And obviously, making a topic about it if you decide to do it, with all the rules and everything within is a must, but perhaps a second topic for the voting choices. Otherwise both subjects in one topic might cluster everything up.

Me and Snaggle have already formally decided to do things this way to prevent a. Cheating. and b. People being able to see the polls as they're going on.
So yes, the voting WILL be done via private message.
We need some suggestions for Categories now folks. We're planning on something like... four categories.
