Default Attention Posters

It is imperative that the recent surge of spammers be waded out, so I would like everyone to post the following whenever a spammer rears their ugly head. Simply right-click on your mouse, select "Copy" then "Paste" and post it below the spam.

Spamming is strictly prohibited. We will not be cantankerous about your post(s), but we will take the unequivocal route necessary in order to marshal back a respectable forum devoid of Ingénue posters without a minimum of etiquette. We WILL NOT show Clemency for spammers, all links shall be removed from your post(s), your post(s) shall be deleted, and we will begin banning ISPs immediately if the spamming does not cease. This is active spam, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Okay. I'm pretty sure spammers could care less if they want to adv. a drug or what have you, they only post once or twice then go. Well, still, posters, please take appropriate action to wade them out. I believe if the moderators and posters take charge, all the spamming will eventually cease. The incoherent babble has gone a tad too far, so do take action, one and all.

The spammers are bots. They do not read what we say. They are not even controlled by humans. They're machines that have been compromised and are being controlled remotely. This will only mean more posts.

What we need to do is get Alex to update our verification stuff to make it a little harder to parse the verification image.

Oh, simply delete the posts, no one needs to read that eyewash. I havent the time to read into the exhausting depths of what they are, I think people, since more often than not, I get a PM reporting the spammer sent them a PM. Only once or twice--whatever. Point obv., and since Alex is inactive on the forum/doesn't get 'round to fix the--sigh--DEFAULT SMILIES. Getting him to do anything would be a feat in itself.

In the words of Admiral Ackbar: "There are... too many of them!"

Sorry, but I just don't have time to constantly come and clean up after a bunch of spambots. I'll delete 'em when I see 'em. Other than that, everybody should just ignore them (as per my instructions in my award winning thread: http://www.ffnet.org/forum/announcem...-you-2324.html (Advertisements and You) - see the last post).

I didn't mean to insinuate that getting Alex to change anything would be easy. Lord knows I have enough trouble getting him to do anything on KH3. I'm just saying that's really the only solution we have to this problem.

PS: What's wrong with the smilies?
