Awards?

Hit me if this is stupid, but I've seen some sites have alot of fun doing an awards type of thing once a year. A mod or admin posts a list of categories (I.E.: Least annoying n00b, Funniest Member, Cutest couple, etc.), and then site members have a window of time to send by pm their choices for each category to a mod or admin who will tally the votes. After the votes are tallied, the results are posted, and the winners get a little bit of something special to put in thier sig (I've seen little golden cauctaur .gifs used before, and thought that was kind of cool.).

Anyway, I'm not sure if anyone will like this idea, or if it would be worth the work it would take to set it up, but I thought it might be something fun to consider.
