Hehehehe sure!!
I'm wondering if I might actually be proud of these new features to my face (they are at the corners of my eyes). I've always been teased for being baby-faced, even a couple of the people here asked if I was 17, not the 23 I actually am. Whilst that's often a compliment, I kinda resented it because I felt my friends treated me the age I looked, not the age I was. It's no problem here on the forum because we all get along no matter what age we are, but not being able to go out to the pub for fear of being asked for ID is no fun. Even worse, being asked for ID to buy a wallpaper scraper when I was 18
But maybe now my age is showing a little bit, I won't have so much trouble anymore. I've stopped being asked for ID at Tesco, and maybe I can finally stop taking my passport with me if I go out anywhere. I intend to age gracefully!!!
And I agree, common misconceptions of "beauty" are for people who care. Kate Moss, meh to you, I have wrinkles!!!

THBCR? But what is that?
Oh, so Miss Lockheart, you have them at the corners of the eyes then? Ack, this is exactly where mine find themselves as well. Hmm. Perhaps this happens because we spent so many nights swashbuckling our ways to alternative endings in video games! Or,..what?
XD
*Giggles.* You have had ID problems! Is it not insulting though?

*Laughs* yes I do attribute some of my crow's feet lines to my glorious FF and other computer endeavors. Probably my forum perusing too
Hehehehe yeah the old ID, it's plagued me for a long time. Getting ID'd for a wallpaper scraper was the worst though- the shopkeeper said I needed to be 16 to buy it, I was 18 and had started my degree at the time *blushes*
It is sometimes really insulting. And I get annoyed when people try to play it down by telling me I'll look 30 when I'm 50 ir something, like that makes up for being rejected at Rock night in Heaven and Hell (the nightclub I used to haunt). I had to go all the way home to get my passport, and when I finally got in someone tactfully informed me that I'd missed hearing Her Ghost In The Fog
Hehehe speaking of Cradle Of Filth, I went to see them in concert in December 2005. I was going with my brother Simon in place of my mum, she was supposed to be going and I'd bought her the tickets as a birthday present, then my stupid older brother refused to babysit (he pays for it now in bigtime karma). Not wanting us to waste the tickets, she told me to go instead. It was at Granary Wharf, in an old musty basement under the arches, really good atmosphere. I was expecting the usual "you have ID luv?", and I got it, which was really frustrating because the age on the ticket said 16+. Luckily I had my passport in my bag or me and my brother would have been going home early. He didn't get ID'd at all, and he's 3 years younger than me.
Ah, I suppose as annoying as those times were, now I can look back on it and laugh about it
Oh I think he means The Hollow Bastion Restoration Comittee

Well I work in the service industry in Canada, and we ask anybody for ID who looks 25 and younger, even tho the legal age to buy products like tobacco and alcohol is 18-19, depending on the province. We do this more for security than anything else, and never with the intent to be insulting to the client. I suppose I look under 25, so I usually have my ID handy whenever I'm buying stuff like this, and usually if they see you holding your ID and not looking nervous, they usually won't even ask you for it. But if they do ask to see my ID I usually just take it as a compliment more than anything else.
But it's a lot worse in some places... I know in some parts of the states you have to show your ID no matter what age you are, even if you are in your 50s and 60s. My grandfather once was in Washington state for a baseball game, and upon trying to buy a beer at the vendors was turned away when he could not produce his driver's license which he had left in his car, LOL. So weird. But I think it's not so much that he needed to prove his age, as it is simply the law to have a legal form of identification on your person when purchasing these kind of products.

Yeah they were awesome. It was a small gig so I got up close, lots of music and not so much of the theatrics, because the place wasn't very big. Yay for the sawmen though, they were there
And so GMT night closes in, and on the online list, a plethora of nonsensical and spammy names, all looking but not touching (unless it's to leave something foul behind). I always find that so scary, almost as scary as when I'm here alone

Cradle of Filth is one of my favourite bands, although I sneer at the mainstream approach they have taken in the past years.

Amore et Morte and Her ghost in the Fog are my favourite songs, both form the Midian album. Satanic Mantra is great as well. Look them up on Youtube.
Those songs and that album perfectly represent what Cradle of Filth became famous for, specifically with the voices, and the symphonic music.

I still haven't heard anything beyond the Nymphetamine album, that was my height of fandom for Cradle Of Filth I think. I actually heard Midian for the first time shortly afterwards, and as much as I like Nymphetamine it seemed to be outshined after that
A good ol' English band in their heyday, they certainly showed some of their European counterparts a thing or two ^^
