Copy and paste (should include underline), highlight each word one at a time, and enter font colour you wish the word to be. Everyone (including me) seems to be personalizing the logo in some way, as well.

I've noticed that one or two obscure forums actually have a guest area where people who are not members can chat to the regulars about stuff, I assume that by talking there they get roped in to join hahaha!!

I'm not sure if that would work here though. Even though I see a lot of new members register and then say nothing, nobody can tell how much of that is spam botting. It makes me wonder how these forums manage to handle it, with it being a big security issue. And even if there was a way around it, who the hell would actually create the area? Isn't the guy who originally created this place kinda gone?

The key really is making the guests who visit want to join in. It doesn't help that registration is a long-winded pain in the ass and people lose interest by the time it's over, unless they are really impressed and want to join in.

I've noticed that although a lot of new people are joining, few of them seem compelled to make comments on the threads throughout the site. Maybe it would help if a moderator sent out a formatted greeting email to all new members who join explaining that they are welcome to post their opinions and comments on threads, maybe then they'de feel more inclined to engage in more posting. Just a thought.
