Having browsed our affiliates Unlimited Gamer, we have discovered that there will be a new game in the Final Fantasy series.

There had been speculation when Square Enix registered the trademark ‘Revenant Wings’ that this would be another game in the Final Fantasy XIII line-up. It is now, however, known that this game will be a Nintendo DS prequel to the forthcoming PlayStation 2 title Final Fantasy 12!

There’s loads of mystery surrounding this game. Frankly all we know is that at least some of the Final Fantasy XII characters will appear (in apparently younger form!). At least Vaan and Penelo will appear in this game.
